Day 3 Plan

Adding “Magic Molecule” to Your Day

There is a molecule without which we would not survive more than a few minutes. Yet, we pay no mindful attention to it. As we grow older, less active, more stressed, and sleep poorly this molecule starts to deplete until our body is starving for it.

As our body starves, it sends signals in the form of fatigue, brain fog, pain, insulin resistance, high blood pressure, slow wound healing and more.

But this molecule is freely available to you, anywhere and at anytime. You just have to be mindfully aware of it and remember to take it!

Ready to meet this magic molecule?

So what’s this Magical Molecule?

Meet the Mighty Oxygen

This Magical Molecule is Oxygen and you are alive today only because of it.  90% of the oxygen you need comes from breathing, only 10% comes from food. On Day 3 your mission is simple- “Much More Oxygen”.

We know when we wake up our body has been asleep and not breathing hard or deep. So doubling up on oxygen is a far better trick to waking up than caffeine! Check out the specific recommendations below on how to wake up with oxygen.

We also know that during the day if we are working on a computer or have a desk job our breathing gets shallow. Your goal is to get up every 2 hours and take an oxygen break!

Stress and anxiety slow down breathing. The more you’re stressed, the more important this exercise becomes for you.

Finally, at the end of the day take in more oxygen to give your body the saturation it needs to repair and rejuvenate as you sleep. If you are a poor sleeper or suffer from sleep apnea (a hidden epidemic) this becomes even more important.

Why?

Science says low oxygen creates a space for a disease to manifest and thrive.

Please see link below to article with scientific studies.

#1. Poor Immunity

Low oxygen leads to Poor Immunity- resulting in more bacterial and viral infections.

#2. Heart Disease

Low Oxygen due to Sleep Apnea is Linked to Heart Disease – including blood pressure issues, arterial stiffness and more.

#3. Diabetes

Low oxygen is linked to insulin resistance and Type 2 Diabetes.

#4. Depression

Oxygen Plays a Critical Role in Depression and Anxiety.

#5. Cancer

Dr. Connealy says cancer thrives in low oxygen environment.

#6. Alzheimers and Memory

The brain needs oxygen to thrive, so any depletion slows the brain function.

#7. Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain

Several studies show a link between low oxygen in muscles and onset of pain.

#8. Hormone Metabolism

Low oxygen interferes with how the body maintains optimal hormone levels.

DAY 3 PLAN

1. Wake Up With Oxygen

Do the Dr. Zach Bush 4 minute workout to wake up without coffee! Or do 50 jumping jacks and drink 2 glasses of room temperature water

2. Oxygen Breaks

Working at a desk? Stressed? Anxious? Take an oxygen break every 2 hours by consciously breathing for 5 minutes or going for a fast walk or jumping!

3. Oxygen Before Bed

Get your body primed for repair and rejuvenation by doing a 5 minute routine of breathing or jumping!

4. Sleep Apnea?

Find out if you have sleep apnea – Take the quiz below – Talk to your doctor about testing – Buy an inexpensive oxygen measurement device on amazon!
